Please see the attached letter about forthcoming strike action by the five teaching unions in Northern Ireland to inform you about the impact this is likely to have at our school. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible in order to make arrangements for childcare. We appreciate how this action impacts on our families but want to take this opporutnity to remind our school community this strike is not just about teachers pay but also several other key factors around current working conditions, including decimated school funding, wholly unreasonable levels of workload and the well-documented failures to adequately meet the needs of our most vulnerable children. Our children deserve better investment in their future. We appreciate your ongoing support in this action to maintain the high quality of education our schools provide for our children.
