St Patricks Day

24th Mar 2023

We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet as a whole school community to celebrate St.Patrick. We enjoyed the company of our families, friends and wider community in celebrating together.

Mrs Callan, Mrs England and Mr Doyle's classes lead the celebrations with music, dance, song, poems and beautiful arts and crafts work. We also had the pleasure of listening to a melody of traditional and more modern music. This was played on tin whistles and flute, from Mr Doyle and his pupils. It warms our heart to see how comfortable our children are together in performing to our whole school community, we are so proud of them.

We would like to show our gratitude to our past pupils Matthew and Erinn Kyle who came in and played some traditional music. It is lovely to see our past pupils succeeding and bringing their talents back to our school, to inspire us. A special thanks to their mum Siún for always supporting our school.

We supported local businesses who provided some traditional food - stew and wheaten bread. Thank you to Paul's Butchers for the stew and The Woodside Cafe, 2 Foyle Cresent, Newbuildings for the wheaten bread. It was absolutely delicious!
